Okay ladies out there- I am in need of some female support. The time has come, although much sooner than I had hoped-- my clothes are not fitting anymore. Duh, you might say, you're pregnant! Yes I know and I am aware that this is my 4th child and I'm in my 2nd trimester now, but still I was hoping to hold on until the end of the month. No such luck, as I sit here typing, I am wearing my new maternity jeans I just bought yesterday and a "transition" shirt. For a few weeks I held tightly to my resolve and stuck with my old wardrobe, making a deal (with myself) that I would wait for 2 more weeks before I "give-in." Then yesterday as I was browsing the aisles of Kohl's, I caught a side glimpse of myself in the mirror. I thought "Who is that pregnant lady that is still wearing regular clothes?" Oh wait- it's me. Sad. Then for the next hour I tried convincing myself of the following: 1) why should I care 2) does it really matter the date on the calendar 3) I need to be comfortable (which means I'm not grumpy because my pants are too tight) and 4)I should be happy that I'm pregnant- who cares if my tummy started growing the minute I saw 2 lines on the pregnancy test.
So, yes I know this is lame, but please help me feel better. I need your condolences and advice in my hour of need. Thanks ahead of time- I know whatever you say will make me smile! We are off to hear this little stinkers heartbeat- for the first time. We're all (Aaron, too) headed down to my parents, where they will watch the kids while we go to the Dr. and then down to San Clemente for dinner at the pier. Wish me luck (wouldn't that be a surprise if there were 2 heartbeats in there!!!).

1st of all be happy your not due the same week as Janell. The thing that has helped me is "Who cares?". I have to stop comparing and just be happy that me and the baby are doing well. good luck today!!!- Amber j.
Danielle, you are the cutest prego lady out there. Who cares what kinda of clothes you are wearing. You looked hot today!
I hear your pain! I always looked at it as a way to buy new clothes and not have to worry about buying too many new things. And if this is your last baby enjoy the time because it won't happen again. I hope that helps. :)
oh the heartbeat. that is so exiting. It always feels more real after that. At least you are at the nice middle part of the pregnancy w/no more sickness and yet you aren't uncomfortably big yet. Also, the baby doll shirts are in style so it seems like everyone looks pregnant anyway.
Sounds like an exciting time. I always loved this time of pregnancy because I Felt decent, I started wearing pregp clothes and I also started eating well.
Maybe you could try to look on the inside when you're not feeling so gorgeous on the outside. Like just put on some stretchy pants and rub your tummy, feel for that baby (those babies)! Hey, did you find out the sex? I mean, I know there was sex involved, but you know what I mean. Isn't it funny we use the word sex? Maybe gender would be more appropriate! :) Hope you are having a good day today.
You are always beautiful! Plus, I think that pregnancy enhances beauty. Did you hear the heartbeat? So exciting! Love you :)
wear the clothes and love every second of it. maternity clothes are so cute, and you have a valid excuse to wear them...you're pregnant! comfort is #1, and isn't it great that these days you can be comfortable AND cute. like cilla said, the babydoll shirts are in style anyways. and the date on the calendar does not matter!
I think you should buy yourself a few cute maternity items that wll cheer you up and get you excited to wear them!
With maternity clothes as cute as they are these days, I was thrilled to hit the stores and get comfy! Enjoy the second trimester. And were there 2 heartbeats???
